Behind every dish, there is a story. That of a life's journey, of a mother, and of a simple desire: to offer meals that bring a little comfort when the days get heavier.
Before Mum’s Papilles & Care, my passion was teaching. I loved passing on knowledge, guiding, and watching children grow.
And then a burnout came and turned everything upside down, forcing me to rethink my life, my priorities, and what truly mattered to me.
It was alongside my mom, during her illness, that everything took an unexpected turn.
My mom was a real foodie. She loved to cook, host, and prepare generous meals, surrounded by those she loved.
But one day, I saw how difficult eating could become: tastes changed, smells nauseated her, appetite varied from one day to the next… and yet, she would have loved so much to keep that pleasure.
In my kitchen, I was trying to reinvent everything:
While Mom sometimes struggled to swallow a few bites, Dad, for his part, kept his good appetite. I saw his worry when she ate almost nothing, and I also saw her desire to please him... even when it was beyond her strength.
And I was simply trying to find the right balance: respecting Mom's appetite, reassuring Dad, and continuing to make the meal a time of sharing.
I know that this gentle and silent little tension around meals runs through many families.
That is where I understood how much families lack simple, humane, and comforting solutions.
What to prepare?
How to adapt?
How much?
How to restore desire… without pressure, without guilt?
It is within this daily life made of small attentions, gestures of love, and repeated attempts that the idea of creating Mum’s Papilles & Care began to take root.
Mum’s Papilles & Care is the natural extension of this story. A way to offer comfort, flavor, and a little sweetness to those going through a time when meals sometimes require extra energy.
I wanted to create a service where every meal would be a gesture
attention: a caring parenthesis in a sometimes chaotic daily life.
Simple, delicious, comforting dishes.
Soft textures when appetite is modest.
Portions suited for both “light appetites” and days when you need a little extra support.
A kitchen that respects everyone's rhythm, without ever forcing it.
Today, I am surrounding myself with professionals who share the same vision of good eating, including Annelise Hermant (AH Nutrition), a registered dietitian-nutritionist. Her perspective complements my field experience to create delicious, balanced recipes tailored to different appetites.
And I make sure that every dish is cooked with the same high standards and tenderness that I had for my mom.
Two words that sum up the ambition of this project: placing people at the heart of every meal.
is a tribute to my mom, who was the deep inspiration behind it.
embodies kindness, attentiveness, and care for every detail, from the creation of the recipes to their delivery.
Mum’s Papilles & Care is, above all, a deeply human project. A project born from love, care, and sharing.
Because eating well doesn't change everything... but it can really soften a day.
For her. For them. And for all those whom a meal can comfort.
